Controversy
MTV and the show received angry responses from the African-American community for "depicting black women squatting on all fours tethered to leashes and defecating on the floor" in an episode depicting Snoop Dogg ("Woofie Loves Snoop"). MTV defended the depiction as a parody of an actual appearance by Snoop Dogg in which he was accompanied by two women wearing neck collars and chains. However, MTV has not begun production of a second season, nor has there been any announcement of a DVD release for the first season. It has been reported that subsequent airings of "Woofie Loves Snoop" had been severely edited.

Famous quotes containing the word controversy:
“And therefore, as when there is a controversy in an account, the parties must by their own accord, set up for right Reason, the Reason of some Arbitrator, or Judge, to whose sentence, they will both stand, or their controversy must either come to blows, or be undecided, for want of a right Reason constituted by Nature; so is it also in all debates of what kind soever.”
—Thomas Hobbes (15791688)
“Ours was a highly activist administration, with a lot of controversy involved ... but Im not sure that it would be inconsistent with my own political nature to do it differently if I had it to do all over again.”
—Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter, Jr.)
