Wharton School Publishing - Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board Members

The Wharton School imprint is directed by Tim Moore and Jerry Wind. The Editorial Board of Wharton School Publishing comprises the 24 faculty members charged with finding both book ideas and new authors. Titles are vetted by "a cross-disciplinary group of the School's senior faculty members know who is breaking new ground... and differentiate between what is truly thought leadership vs. the latest 'fad' thinking." The editorial board ensures all manuscripts and materials meet Wharton's standard by addressing important topics with ideas and insights that are relevant, empirically based, timely, conceptually sound, and implementable in real decision settings.

Famous quotes containing the words editorial, board and/or members:

I have been in the editorial business going on fourteen years, and it is the first time I ever heard of a man’s having to know anything in order to edit a newspaper.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

Midway the lake we took on board two manly-looking middle-aged men.... I talked with one of them, telling him that I had come all this distance partly to see where the white pine, the Eastern stuff of which our houses are built, grew, but that on this and a previous excursion into another part of Maine I had found it a scarce tree; and I asked him where I must look for it. With a smile, he answered that he could hardly tell me.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Jesus, Buddha, Mahommed, great as each may be, their highest comfort given to the sorrowful is a cordial introduction into another’s woe. Sorrow’s the great community in which all men born of woman are members at one time or another.
    Sean O’Casey (1884–1964)
