The Westwood Regional School District is a comprehensive regional public school district serving the communities of the Borough of Westwood and the Township of Washington in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. These two communities are located approximately 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Midtown Manhattan. The majority of parents are engaged in professional and managerial occupations with incomes in the middle and upper-middle brackets.
As of the 2010-11 school year, the district's six schools had an enrollment of 2,827 students and 220.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.85.
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.
