West Seneca Central School District

The West Seneca Central School District was centralized in 1946, is the third largest central school district in Western New York, and one of the largest school districts in New York State. It serves 25 square miles (65 km2), including a majority of the town of West Seneca, and portions of the towns of Cheektowaga, Orchard Park, and Hamburg.

As of 2007, the school has 7,464 students in 12 school buildings:

  • 3,703 kindergarten - sixth grade students in seven elementary buildings
  • 1,214 seventh - eighth grade students in two middle schools
  • 2,547 students in two high schools and alternative learning center


The district also has over 1,500 employees - teachers, administrators, and support staff - as of 2007.
