All five of the German archers posted solid scores in the nation's third Olympic archery competition, with none placing lower than 15th.

Women's Individual Competition:

• Manuela Dachner — 2508 points (→ 6th place)
• Doris Haas — 2480 points (→ 11th place)

Men's Individual Competition:

• Harry Wittig — 2497 points (→ 9th place)
• Armin Garnreiter — 2494 points (→ 10th place)
• Detlef Kahlert — 2486 points (1→ 5th place)
