Division Into Weekly Parashot

Maimonides based his division of the parashot for the Torah on the Masoretic text of the Aleppo Codex.

Famous quotes containing the words division and/or weekly:

Don’t order any black things. Rejoice in his memory; and be radiant: leave grief to the children. Wear violet and purple.... Be patient with the poor people who will snivel: they don’t know; and they think they will live for ever, which makes death a division instead of a bond.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

A faithful lover is a character greatly out of date, and rarely now used but to adorn some romantic novel, or for a flourish on the stage. He passes now for a man of little merit, or one who knows nothing of the world.
