Interaction Types
There are two types of weak interaction (called vertices). The first type is called the "charged current interaction" because it is mediated by particles that carry an electric charge (the W+ or W− bosons), and is responsible for the beta decay phenomenon. The second type is called the "neutral current interaction" because it is mediated by a neutral particle, the Z boson.

Famous quotes containing the words interaction and/or types:
“Just because multiples can turn to each other for companionship, and at times for comfort, dont be fooled into thinking youre not still vital to them. Dont let or make multiples be parents as well as siblings to each other. . . . Parent interaction with infants and young children has everything to do with how those children develop on every level, including how they develop their identities.”
—Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)
“Our major universities are now stuck with an army of pedestrian, toadying careerists, Fifties types who wave around Sixties banners to conceal their record of ruthless, beaverlike tunneling to the top.”
—Camille Paglia (b. 1947)
