WBAP Morning News "Characters"
"The WBAP Morning News" featured several fictitious characters comedy bits during the 6:53 A.M. and 7:53 A.M until late 2008 for unknown reasons. The comedy bits were often written by Jay or producer Sean Chastain unless pre-empted by a major event. If Jay was off, the program often aired "Best Of" replays of previously aired segments.
The characters are divided into two main groups, each performed by a different individual. Some of the "parody" characters are performed by WBAP overnight host and producer Eric Harley, while the remaining characters were performed by staff member John Hanson.

Famous quotes containing the words morning, news and/or characters:
“But the flower leaned aside
And thought of naught to say,
And morning found the breeze
A hundred miles away.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“The young ... look into visages dull-eyed, long-toothed, wattle-necked, and chop-fallen, something they have never been and which they cannot imagine ever being.... If it occurs to a young person, looking at us, that this is the direction in which he himself travels, how can he forgive, let alone bear the sight of, us, who constantly bring him the bad news of our own faces, bitter signposts pointing to his own destination?”
—Jessamyn West (19021984)
“For our vanity is such that we hold our own characters immutable, and we are slow to acknowledge that they have changed, even for the better.”
—E.M. (Edward Morgan)
