Famous quotes containing the words flow and/or rate:

No care, no stop; so senseless of expense
That he will neither know how to maintain it
Nor cease his flow of riot, takes no account
How things go from him, nor resumes no care
    Of what is to continue.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Strange that the vanity which accompanies beauty—excusable, perhaps, when there is such great beauty, or at any rate understandable—should persist after the beauty was gone.
Mary A. [Elizabeth, Countess Von] Arnim (1866–1941)
