Washington D.C. Slayers

The Washington D.C. Slayers are a rugby league football team based in Washington, D.C. They currently play in the USA Rugby League. They play their home games at Duke Ellington Field near Georgetown Hospital.

The Slayers, along with the Connecticut Wildcats, were established in 2003 as expansion teams of the American National Rugby League (AMNRL). They played in the AMNRL for eight seasons, from 2003–2010, making it to the league playoffs six times and advancing to the semi-finals in their inaugural season. In 2011 they became one of seven teams to depart from the AMNRL to form the new USA Rugby League.
