Warwick Farm Railway Station - Platforms and Services

Platforms and Services

Warwick Farm railway station has two side platforms. There is no concourse however a new footbridge with lifts and stairs were opened in April 2012 giving passengers direct access to either platform plus street level, this also improved access for people in wheelchairs and to the new commuter car park. Previously accessing Platform 1 from Platform 2 or vice versa required passengers having to leave the station and use stairs leading to the Hume Hwy bridge, Further to this Platform 2 is also a very narrow platform however the Cabramatta end of the platform has been widened recently with the upgrades to the station.

This station is serviced by four to six trains per hour each way, two to four on the South line and two on the Bankstown line, with additional trains during weekday peak hours. Cumberland Line trains operate only on weekday peak hours. During off-peak hours two of these four South line train services towards Campbelltown terminate at Glenfield.

Famous quotes containing the words platforms and/or services:

The personal things should be left out of platforms at conventions .... You can argue yourself blue in the face, and you’re not going to change each other’s minds. It’s a waste of your time and my time.
    Barbara Bush (b. 1925)

Civil servants and priests, soldiers and ballet-dancers, schoolmasters and police constables, Greek museums and Gothic steeples, civil list and services list—the common seed within which all these fabulous beings slumber in embryo is taxation.
    Karl Marx (1818–1883)
