Warrior of The Lost World - Mystery Science Theater 3000

Warrior of the Lost World was the first episode of the fifth season of Mystery Science Theater 3000. A recurring joke is that the crew can't remember the lead actor Robert Ginty's name, referring to him as "the Paper Chase guy". The crew also find the voice of the speedcycle's display screen so irritating that they cheer when it is destroyed by Megaweapon, referring to Megaweapon onwards as "the only good thing in this movie" and even giving Megaweapon a phone call after watching the movie.

The MST3K version of the film was released on DVD by Shout! Factory in December 2009 as part of the Volume 16 box set. The DVD includes an interview with director David Worth, who discussed the making of the film (his directorial debut). Worth previously appeared at the first ConventioCon ExpoFest-A-Rama in 1994, and describes himself as a fan of the show.

Famous quotes containing the words mystery, science and/or theater:

There is no kind of herb, but somebody or other says that it is good. I am very glad to hear it. It reminds me of the first chapter of Genesis. But how should they know that it is good? That is the mystery to me. I am always agreeably disappointed; it is incredible that they should have found it out.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

There does not exist a category of science to which one can give the name applied science. There are science and the applications of science, bound together as the fruit of the tree which bears it.
    Louis Pasteur (1822–1895)

Be reflective ... and stay away from the theater as much as you can. Stay out of the theatrical world, out of its petty interests, its inbreeding tendencies, its stifling atmosphere, its corroding influence. Once become “theatricalized,” and you are lost, my friend; you are lost.
    Minnie Maddern Fiske (1865–1932)
