Music Video
The music video for Warning premiered on MTV in January 2001. It was directed by Francis Lawrence and shows the life of a young man (Whose punch-in card reveals his name to be John Earle) who does trivial but dangerous things during his day. The video starts off with the man waking up at 6:30. He sleeps on a dirty mattress wearing a dirty pair of white pants and socks. His house is untidy and his kitchen is dirty. At the end of the video, he returns home late at night. Because he left on his appliances, the popcorn machine has overflowed, the lights are all on and his toaster is burning. He returns to his bed for night, throwing his clothes on the floor. When the man has gone to sleep, his clock switches back to 6:29.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:
“In benevolent natures the impulse to pity is so sudden, that like instruments of music which obey the touch ... you would think the will was scarce concerned, and that the mind was altogether passive in the sympathy which her own goodness has excited. The truth is,the soul is [so] ... wholly engrossed by the object of pity, that she does not ... take leisure to examine the principles upon which she acts.”
—Laurence Sterne (17131768)
“It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . todays children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.”
—Marie Winn (20th century)
