Wario Land 4 - Game Engine

Game Engine

Another Nintendo game, Metroid Fusion, is potentially built on a modified version of the engine used in Wario Land 4. This was discovered by ROM hackers, when they found unused tiles and maps from Wario Land 4 hidden in game files in Metroid Fusion. Specifically, the debug room is of the same layout as that in Wario Land 4, albeit with Fusion's changed textures. In addition, crystals from Wario Land 4 (used as currency in that game) are found in an unused texture file in Fusion despite not appearing anywhere in game.

Famous quotes containing the words game and/or engine:

Vanessa wanted to be a ballerina. Dad had such hopes for her.... Corin was the academically brilliant one, and a fencer of Olympic standard. Everything was expected of them, and they fulfilled all expectations. But I was the one of whom nothing was expected. I remember a game the three of us played. Vanessa was the President of the United States, Corin was the British Prime Minister—and I was the royal dog.
    Lynn Redgrave (b. 1943)

Industrial man—a sentient reciprocating engine having a fluctuating output, coupled to an iron wheel revolving with uniform velocity. And then we wonder why this should be the golden age of revolution and mental derangement.
    Aldous Huxley (1894–1963)
