Famous quotes containing the words war, precautions and/or act:

This is not Johnson’s war. This is America’s war. If I drop dead tomorrow, this war will still be with you.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

We must take precautions against being prematurely honed sharp—since at the same time we are being prematurely honed thin.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

All’s pathos now. The body that was gross,
Rank, ravenous, disgusting in the act or in repose,
All fever, filth and sweat, its bestial strength
And bestial decay, by pain and labour grows at length
    Fragile and luminous.
    Frank Templeton Prince (b. 1912)
