Walnut Creek station is in Walnut Creek, a major suburb in the East Bay area of the San Francisco Bay Area, one of the largest metropolitan areas of the United States. The station itself is at the intersection of three major roads - Ygnacio Valley Road, Hillside Avenue, Riviera Avenue - and an off-ramp from the Interstate 680.
