The part of the Reverend Llewellyn Llewellyn Llewellyn Llewellyn was played by Jon Pertwee, who also ad-libbed some of his lines during the episode. Famous as the Third Doctor and Worzel Gummidge, Jon Pertwee also had a starring role in the radio comedy series The Navy Lark.

Derek Nimmo was a British actor who was well known for his Ecclesiastical roles in All Gas and Gaiters, Hell's Bells and Oh, Brother. Derek Nimmo also played the Reverend Green in a British television version of Cluedo).
