Top 30 (sometimes called Radio 2 Top 30 or VRT Top 30), is a Belgian weekly record chart compiled by the VRT network, and broadcast every Saturdays on Radio 2. The chart was also known as the BRT Top 30 until 1992. It debuted on 2 May 1970, with Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum as the first number-one song.
It was the preeminent music industry standard chart of Flanders (Dutch speaking side of Belgian community) until January 1995, when it was replaced by the newly created Ultratop 50. However the Top 30 continues to be compiled to the present day, and as such it has become the longest running music chart in Belgium.

Famous quotes containing the word top:
“In a famous Middletown study of Muncie, Indiana, in 1924, mothers were asked to rank the qualities they most desire in their children. At the top of the list were conformity and strict obedience. More than fifty years later, when the Middletown survey was replicated, mothers placed autonomy and independence first. The healthiest parenting probably promotes a balance of these qualities in children.”
—Richard Louv (20th century)
