Voyeur (Kim Carnes Song)
"Voyeur" is a 1982 single release from Kim Carnes's album Voyeur.
The single reached #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and #52 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts. The song also achieved some international chart success but failed to live up to record company expectations, particularly after the phenomenal success of "Bette Davis Eyes" a year earlier.
In 1983, Carnes was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female category for "Voyeur". She competed against Linda Ronstadt, Pat Benatar, Bonnie Raitt, and the late Donna Summer.

Famous quotes containing the word voyeur:
“Postmodern agenda: the peep show is the art form; the voyeur is the protagonist; the goal is excitement from a safe distance; the alibi is that its all ironic.”
