Volkswagen Vento
A sedan version of Polo, the Volkswagen Vento was launched in India on 6 July 2010 by hanging the car from the side of a hotel in New Delhi. It has a length of 4.384 m (172.6 in), increased wheelbase (2.552m) and ground clearance (168–170 mm), and has one petrol (1.6 L, 4-cylinder, 105 PS; coupled with either 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox) and one diesel engine (1.6 L, turbocharged 4-cylinder common rail, 105 PS; only 5-speed manual gearbox) options available. It is intended to compete with the Honda City which is very popular in India.
The car is also manufactured and sold in Russia as Volkswagen Polo Sedan with only the petrol engine available.
