The voiced alveolar lateral affricate is a type of consonantal sound, used in some spoken languages. The symbol in the International Phonetic Alphabet is ⟨d͡ɮ⟩ (often simplified to ⟨dɮ⟩). There are few languages spoken outside North America and adjacent areas of Siberia which have lateral affricates, and certainly none which are widely spoken possess this sound.
