Vital Health Foods was founded in 1947 by Mr. Jack Grieve in the small town of Wellington, South Africa. It was the first health foods company in South Africa and has since become the largest in Africa, with a head office in Cape Town and a subsidiary in Australia. Vital is a family-owned and run company, into third-generation management in 2005.
