The viper dogfish, Trigonognathus kabeyai, is a dogfish, the only species in the genus Trigonognathus, found off Wakayama and Tokushima, Japan, in the northwest Pacific Ocean at depths between 330 and 360 m. Its maximum length is 47 cm.
Viper dogfish are ovoviviparous.
