Famous quotes containing the words private, life and/or retirement:

    But the abstract conception
Of private experience at its greatest intensity
Becoming universal, which we call “poetry,”
    May be affirmed in verse.
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

    Gertrude Stein (1874–1946)

    Jeremy Taylor (1613–1667)
