Awards and Accolades
In late-2006, Vijay received the honorary title of Knight Commander of The Most of The Crown of Pahang, Honorary Distinguished Order Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang by the Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia, Sultan Ahmad Shah, in recognition of his contribution to the economic growth of the state of Pahang. This investiture carries the title Dato'. In June 2012, he was conferred the Commanders Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Perak (D.P.M.P.) award by the Sultan of Perak in conjunction with his 84th birthday celebrations.
In May 2011, Vijay Eswaran was conferred with an honorary doctorate in management by the Swiss Management Center, an online university.
In February 2013, Vijay Eswaran was named in Forbes Asia's Malaysia's 50 Richest at Number 25.
