Retirement and Coaching
He retired from all forms of cricket after playing his last match against Uttar Pradesh in Dec 2006. After his retirement he became the coach of the Delhi team and led them to a Ranji Trophy triumph in the 2007-08 season ending their 16 year drought. He was appointed the assistant coach of the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009.
