Career
Lucas is the founder, president, and owner of Greedy Productions Ltd. (GPL), which was formed in 1995. GPL is the independent company which owns and produces the aforementioned shows. GPL has produced other series programming created and/or executive produced by Lucas, The Art Of Play, was one of the first video game preview shows in high definition and available on the Gameplay HD network; GameTap News for Turner Broadcasting's GameTap network, which won Lucas and Greedy Productions an Emmy Award in 2007; as well as two tech-centric series, The Lab With Leo Laporte and Torrent for Rogers' G4 Canada network.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Lucas' production company has created hundreds of hours of television for broadcasters and other corporate clients and has created a number of very well received documentary projects. In 2005, Lucas executive produced, directed and edited, Big Red One: Behind The Game, for Discovery's Military Channel. In 2007, Lucas and Greedy Productions kicked off a wave of documentary production and formed a division within the company called, Greedy Docs. Work under the division includes; The Making of Golden Axe, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk for Sega, The Making of Turok for Touchstone, The Making of Metal Gear Solid 4 for Kojima Productions, The Making of Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian for Disney Interactive, The Making of Fallout 3 for Bethesda Softworks, and The Making of Lego Batman and The Making of Batman: Arkham Asylum for Warner Bros. Interactive.
Lucas created the Electric Playground website, which has been online covering video games since 1995, making it one of the longest running video game websites. Victor Lucas and GPL created the majority of the video segments for the Video Games Live concert tour. Victor Lucas and Tommy Tallarico also appeared semi-regularly on HypaSpace Weekly as video game experts.
