Vice Presidents During The Second Republic
Some websites incorrectly recognize the following as Vice-Presidents of the Philippines however they are not officially recognized by the Philippine Government:
- Ramón Avanceña, October 14, 1943-February 2, 1944 (Served during the Japanese Occupation under President José P. Laurel)
- Benigno Aquino, Sr., February 2, 1944-August 17, 1945 (Served during the Japanese Occupation under President José P. Laurel)
Note that the two served in the 1943 constitution that did not provide for a vice president of the country; instead, the two are vice presidents of National Assembly or of the parliament.
