Vibrator Pickup
Also called a sustainer pick-up. A electromagnetic string driver placed near the high fretboard of an electric guitar or mounted on a stand as in the Guitar Resonator. The magnetic field is driven by the guitar pickup signal which causes a feedback loop that vibrates the strings. It is controlled via circuit board powered by a 9v battery inside the guitar or by an external supply). Sounds vibrator pickups make have been compared to strings sections, without the slow attack caused by a bow. An actual vibrator has the same effect.
