Veranke is a Skrull queen in the Marvel Comics universe. The character, created by Brian Michael Bendis and Jim Cheung, first appeared in disguise in New Avengers #1 in 2005. Her true identity was revealed in New Avengers #40.
Within the context of the stories, Veranke is the queen of the Skrulls and leads the Secret Invasion of Earth.
