Famous quotes containing the words return and/or curve:
“Research shows clearly that parents who have modeled nurturant, reassuring responses to infants fears and distress by soothing words and stroking gentleness have toddlers who already can stroke a crying childs hair. Toddlers whose special adults model kindliness will even pick up a cookie dropped from a peers high chair and return it to the crying peer rather than eat it themselves!”
—Alice Sterling Honig (20th century)
“Nothing ever prepares a couple for having a baby, especially the first one. And even baby number two or three, the surprises and challenges, the cosmic curve balls, keep on coming. We cant believe how much children change everythingthe time we rise and the time we go to bed; the way we fight and the way we get along. Even when, and if, we make love.”
—Susan Lapinski (20th century)
