Production
The film marks the re-teaming of Kevin Williamson, writer of Scream, and director Jim Gillespie from I Know What You Did Last Summer. The film is based on the video game Backwater. It was shot in Louisiana in the cities of Amite, Choctaw, Hammond and New Orleans.
