Kunchikal Falls
Its major flow is in Hosanagara taluk,Shimoga. About 25 kilometres (16 mi) from its origin, there is a falls of 455 metres (1,493 ft) in cascades which is popularly known as Kunchikal Falls. The falls do not directly drop, but jumps through lot of rocks and boulders, and after construction of dam near Mani village for Varahi Hydro electric project, the water flow in this falls is greatly reduced and visible only during rains.
