Music Video
The music video shows that a man is in a room surrounded by security camera screens watching Snoop, Nate Dogg and Daz with scenes showing their previous lives (rags to riches). In the first verse Snoop (as a rich gangster) shows the life of Nate Dogg and how far he came along. In the second verse Snoop shows himself dressed in khakis, a black sweater that reads 213, and a blue bandana showing how far along Daz came from being a simple thug to a now rich millionaire.
On his third verse he shows how Warren G has progressed from trying to get a job as a DJ at the V.I.P. Records store to now having sold a multi-platinum (although he makes no appearance in the video). On the last verse Snoop shows how he himself struggled to join a gang (getting rejected) and to make money, later showing himself as his "Doggfather" image in a zoot suit. In the end it shows the city of Los Angeles at night with the man gone from the room. Biz Markie, Nate Dogg and Dat Nigga Daz all made cameo appearances in the video.

“Great music is that which penetrates the ear with facility and leaves the memory with difficulty. Magical music never leaves the memory.”
—Thomas Beecham (18791961)
“We attempt to remember our collective American childhood, the way it was, but what we often remember is a combination of real past, pieces reshaped by bitterness and love, and, of course, the video pastthe portrayals of family life on such television programs as Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best and all the rest.”
—Richard Louv (20th century)
