Vanishing testis refers to the disappearance of one or other testis during embryonic or foetal development.
It is one of the causes of monorchism, and is thought to be due to intrauterine testicular torsion.
Famous quotes containing the word vanishing:
“The vanishing volatile froth of the present which any shadow will alter, any thought blow away, any event annihilate, is every moment converted into the Adamantine Record of the past.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
