Company Activities
The Playhouse presents a five-play "Mainstage" season that runs October through May, smaller-scale productions and play readings at alternate venues, and special productions for young audiences. Productions generally run for three to four weeks, with some matinees for students, seniors, and the disadvantaged. Some productions are preceded by guest speakers, known as "Salon Saturdays", with others followed by moderated "talkbacks" . The Playhouse also has an education and outreach program. The Playhouse often partners with the Studio 58 theatre and production program to apprentice students and graduates.

Famous quotes containing the words company and/or activities:
“Some fluctuating notions concerning repentance, virtue, honor, morality ... hovered around Lady Dellwyns thoughts but were too wavering to bring her to any fixed determination. She became a constant attendant from one public place to another, where she met with many mortifications. But yet even these were not quite so dreadful to her as to retire and be subjected to her own company alone.”
—Sarah Fielding (17101768)
“No culture on earth outside of mid-century suburban America has ever deployed one woman per child without simultaneously assigning her such major productive activities as weaving, farming, gathering, temple maintenance, and tent-building. The reason is that full-time, one-on-one child-raising is not good for women or children.”
—Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)
