Van Halen is the debut studio album by American rock band Van Halen, released in February 1978. Though the album was not initially a huge success, only peaking at #19 on the Billboard charts, it became more successful in later years, containing many of the band's most famous songs, including "Runnin' with the Devil", the guitar solo "Eruption", the Kinks cover "You Really Got Me", "Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love" and "Jamie's Cryin'", and was later certified ten times platinum by the RIAA.
