Acharya

In the traditional Vedantic belief, an Acharya, the leader of spiritual preceptors, is one who has written his personal views and comments on the ‘Brahmasutra’, ‘Bhagavad Gita’ and ‘Upanishads’. Shankarcharya, Ramanujacharya, Nimbarkacharya and Madhavacharya had written their comments and obtained the designation of ‘Acharya’. People then addressed him as Shri Vallabhacharya.
