Wendell Vaughn (Quasar) is a superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. Created by Donald F. Glut, Roy Thomas and John Buscema, the character first appeared under the alias Marvel Man in Captain America #217 (January 1978) and assumed the alias Quasar in The Incredible Hulk #234 (April 1979). Quasar's superpowers include flight, teleportation, and energy manipulation, and derive from the pair of Quantum Bands he wears on his wrists.
