Development of Valencianism

In its origins in the second half of the twentieth century, valencianism was a popularist and heterogeneous movement, which grouped together regionalists and supporters of Valencian foral civil law. Support for valencianism has been strongest in the city of Valencia and in the areas immediately surrounding it.
