Venus is the name of two characters in the Marvel Comics universe. The first originally appeared in Venus #1 in the 1940s. Within the context of the stories, she is an Olympian who works with the Agents of Atlas.
The second, also known as Aphrodite, was created by Jeff Parker and Carlo Pagulayan and debuted in X-Men vs. Agents of Atlas #2 in November 2009. Within the context of the stories, she attacks the first Venus, whom she sees as an imposter.
