V6 Grafton Street - West Bletchley Link

West Bletchley Link

In 2004, urban design officers for Milton Keynes Borough Council proposed (in its "Central Bletchley Renewal Strategy") to extend this road over the West Coast Main Line and connect it with Sherwood Drive in West Bletchley. Doing so would have relieved pressure on the heavily congested Saxon Street/Watling Street and the Buckingham Road/Saxon Street junctions. However, the Council declined to approve it and a subsequent amendment records that it has been deleted.

Famous quotes containing the words west and/or link:

Wild Bill was indulging in his favorite pastime of a friendly game of cards in the old No. 10 saloon. For the second time in his career, he was sitting with his back to an open door. Jack McCall walked in, shot him through the back of the head, and rushed from the place, only to be captured shortly afterward. Wild Bill’s dead hand held aces and eights, and from that time on this has been known in the West as “the dead man’s hand.”
State of South Dakota, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

This is what we fear—no sight, no sound,
No touch or taste or smell, nothing to think with,
Nothing to love or link with,
The anaesthetic from which none come round.
    Philip Larkin (1922–1986)
