USS Truckee (AO-147)

USS Truckee (AO-147) was a Neosho-class fleet oiler of the United States Navy in service from 1955 to 1994. The ship was named after the Truckee River in the U.S. states of California and Nevada.

Truckee was laid down in December 1953 at Camden, New Jersey, by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation and launched on 19 March 1955. The fleet oiler was commissioned on 18 November 1955, Captain Joseph W. Leverton in command.
