Organized Medicine and Urgent Care
The Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) holds an annual spring convention and, also, offers an annual fall conference. Many leaders in organized urgent care medicine anticipate the full establishment of urgent care as a fully recognized specialty.
Urgent Care Management Monthly also hosts a bi-annual conference teaching doctors, investors, and owners how to run the business side of an urgent care center. More than just medicine, a successful urgent care business is about providing a great customer experience, too. The Urgent Care Success Summit helps address these issues. Urgent Care Management Monthly (UCMM) is the official publication for urgent care management tips including billing, staffing, marketing, accounting, and logisitcs.
JUCM, The Journal of Urgent Care Medicine is the Official Publication of the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). Each issue contains a mix of useful, peer-reviewed clinical and practice management articles which address the distinct clinical and practice needs of today’s busy urgent care medicine clinician.

Famous quotes containing the words organized, medicine, urgent and/or care:
“For poetry was all written before time was, and whenever we are so finely organized that we can penetrate into that region where the air is music, we hear those primal warblings, and attempt to write them down, but we lose ever and anon a word, a verse, and substitute something of our own, and thus miswrite the poem.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“As there is a use in medicine for poisons, so the world cannot move without rogues.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“I am most drawn to writing when I have something else urgent to do.”
—Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
“The only sin is limitation. As soon as you once come up with a mans limitations, it is all over with him. Has he talents? has he enterprise? has he knowledge? It boots not. Infinitely alluring and attractive was he to you yesterday, a great hope, a sea to swim in; now, you have found his shores, found it a pond, and you care not if you never see it again.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
