The pivotal industries include the Great Rajarambapu Group of Textile Industries & Deendayal Cooperative Spinning Mill. The other major industries are Rajarambapu Doodh Sangh, Rajarambapu Solvex, Rajaram Sugar Factory,Rajarambapu Institute of James and Jewelry, Hutatma sugar, sarvodaya sugar, etc. accompanied by many small scale industries. Now Bombay rayon started their new textile plant near islampur which having capacity of 6000 employment & 600 crore investment.Mr.Sambhaji Shivaji Babar is the youth icon of the city.Kiran Ghodake,Manoj Patil,Shailendra Shirase(Patl),Devendra Salunkhe-Patil are the socialist and are engaged with social activities.
