Famous quotes containing the words present and/or day:
“My mind to me a kingdom is;
Such present joys therein I find
That it excels all other bliss
That earth affords or grows by kind.
Though much I want which most would have,
Yet still my mind forbids to crave.”
—Sir Edward Dyer (c. 1540–1607)
“But one day he met a man who was a whole lot badder,
And now he’s dead, and we ain’t none the sadder.”
—Administration in the State of Texa, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
