Up in Rags/With Our Wallets Full

After a surge of internet buzz and a heavy touring schedule in 2006, Cold War Kids packaged their previous two six-song EPs together as a full-length LP, Up in Rags/With Our Wallets Full. The album consists of the same recordings on Up in Rags and With Our Wallets Full. The album was released on Monarchy Music as a promotional compilation LP of their very rare first two EPs (which were limited to 500 copies each).

Famous quotes containing the words rags, wallets and/or full:

The prince in disguise makes the most charming beggar in the world, no doubt; but that is because—as all fairy-tales from the beginning of time have taught us—the prince wears his rags as if they were purple. And, to do that, he not only must once have worn purple, but must never forget the purple that he has worn. And to the argument that all cannot wear purple, I can ... only reply that that seems to me to be no reason why all should wear rags.
    Katharine Fullerton Gerould (1879–1944)

Our checks are pale. Our wallets are invalids.
Past due, past due, is what our bills are saying
and yet we kiss in every corner, scuffing the dust
and the cat. Love rises like bread as we go bust.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

    Swinging
clusters of red, the hedges are full of them,
    red-currant red, a graceful
    ornament or a merry smile.
    Denise Levertov (b. 1923)
