Today, the Faculty is recognised as one of the top law schools in Australia. In the 2011 Good Universities Guide, UNSW was the only Law School in Australia to receive top ratings across all criteria, which include: teaching quality, generic skills, overall satisfaction, and success in obtaining a job.
From 2006 to 2009, the Federal Government's assessment of excellence in tertiary education found that the Faculty leads all Australian universities for the quality of learning and teaching in law. The Faculty distinguishes itself from other Australian legal education bodies by its small and interactive classes.
In 2011, UNSW Law School was ranked as the 29th best law school in the world according to QS Top Universities based in the UK.

Famous quotes containing the word reputation:
“From the moment a child begins to speak, he is taught to respect the word; he is taught how to use the word and how not to use it. The word is all-powerful, because it can build a man up, but it can also tear him down. Thats how powerful it is. So a child is taught to use words tenderly and never against anyone; a child is told never to take anyones name or reputation in vain.”
—Henry Old Coyote (20th century)
“How many people live on the reputation of the reputation they might have made!”
—Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. (18091894)
“Men will not give up their privilege of helplessness without a struggle. The average man has a carefully cultivated ignorance about household mattersfrom what to do with the crumbs to the grocers telephone numbera sort of cheerful inefficiency which protects him better than the reputation for having a violent temper.”
—Crystal Eastman (18811928)
