Reputation and Rankings
There are various published university rankings using different methodologies and criteria. HKU has a positive evaluation in many of such rankings:
- QS World University Rankings (2012): 23rd in the world; 1st in Asia and Hong Kong
- QS Asian University Rankings (2012): 3rd in Asia and 2nd in Hong Kong
- Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2012-13): 35th in the world; 3rd in Asia and 1st in Hong Kong
- ARWU (2012): 151-200th in the world and 1st-2nd in Hong Kong (along with The Chinese University of Hong Kong)
Moreover, it has been particularly considered by the QS World University Rankings to be the best university in Asia for three consecutive years (2010,2011 and 2012).
