School Spirit

U of D Jesuit has been noted for their vast school spirit. Each year the Student Senate designs a shirt for the student section for their fall and winter sports. Due to U of D's commuter population, high numbers of fans are also known to attend away games around the Detroit area. U of D Jesuit is credited with having the largest student section at athletic events, either home or away, in the Metro area. They were also recognized in 2005 by local television show "State Champs!" for their spirit. Students are often crammed into bleachers with matching "spirit shirts" cheering for their classmates.
